Welcome to beauty

Hello and welcome to Beauty.

This gorgeous rescue has sadly ruptured her cruciate ligament. It's fairly common but quite a nasty injury.

But she's a total star. She was referred to a specialist who did a TPLO surgery. This is a great surgery for this injury. So now she is with us for rehabilitation.

She is already doing fantastically. We have set her up with a home regime and mum and dad are doing really well with her. So far only 7 days in, she is walking surprisingly well.

Keep up the good work beauty and family! Well done!

Welcome to Scarlett

Hello and welcome to Scarlett

scarlett

Here is a lovely success story. Scarlett had been lame for many months. She had been to the vets and had been given the usual anti-inflammatories, but they were unsure of the real issue behind the lameness and felt t was just a soft tissues injury of some sort. The anti-inflammatories weren't working. She was still lame. So her mum called us to see if we could help.

We explained that vets do often ask our opinion when they are stumped over a lameness and so, yes we were happy to take a look. The vet granted the referral happily and we had a look.

She clearly seemed to have issues in her hamstring muscle group and back. Following just the first session the owner reported great improvement. She has now had 2 sessions and she is doing really well. She is almost sound and she is back playing with the other dog.

Her mum is very happy. Well done mum for doing the home exercise regime and well done Scarlett for recovering so well.

Welcome to Fred

Hello and welcome to Fred!

Another osteoarthritis patient. You know how much we love the oldies.

His parents have already been working hard to help him as much as they can.  He has been to hydrotherapy. But they wanted some more help. This is the right choice as physio really compliments the other therapy and helps give the patient things to do to keep them flexible and comfortable everyday.

We have given him a treatment and set up the family with a home care regime.

Keep up the good work Fred and family. We'll have you feeling better in no time.

Welcome to Jay Jay

Hello and welcome to Jay Jay.

This beautiful man has quite a few difficulties with his body at the moment but he's not going to let him get it down!

His mum is no stranger to working hard for her furbabies. She is doing all she can to keep Jay happy and healthy.

She has now come for physiotherapy to help with muscle weakness and calmness.

Mum and Jay Jay now have a home regime to work towards. Jay jay is taking his time getting used to the idea. And this is fine as any change is hard for anyone. But most importantly he remains happy! He certainly does like the massage as he lays down and sleeps through it.

Keep up the good work mum and Jay Jay!

Welcome to Louie

Hello and welcome to Louie.

The lovely man has osteoarthritis. We love helping these patients most as they make such strong improvements.

He has had a tough life having had previous injuries, but he recovered well from those. He now struggles with multiple arthritic joints.

He has been given treatments and his mum has a home care plan to work with.

He's making improvements already.

Keep up the good work mum and Louie.

More cute Puppies! The DVD progress update!

More cute puppies! The DVD progress update!

It's been awhile since the last update so here is a short one.

We have all been REALLY busy. Adrian is still getting through the tons of footage and getting it into a wonderful DVD. I have been working hard on getting the final bit of footage.....

I waited for one of my clients who's timing was impeccable. She has just has a little of puppies so I could get some footage of some very young little ones to put into the DVD. So this has to get to adrian too!

In the meantime, my lecturing has also really taken off, so having lectured at BCA this weekend, I am also being flown to Denmark to lecture there for 2 day in mid November. Its very exciting as I am probably lecturing there for 2 days every 6 months for the next 2.5 yrs! So this means I get to promote the DVD in Denmark! The good thing there is that they speak excellent English, so no need to translate! I'm determined to make this global.

Thank you again for all your support and patience for the project! ūüôā

Welcome to booty

Hello and welcome to Booty.

Booty sadly ran down some stairs and torn his cruciate ligament. He had surgery but sadly the outcome wasn't as good as everyone had hoped. The owner tried hydrotherapy and it helped but it wasn't booties favorite day out.

So a year on the owner has decided to try physiotherapy.

We are very pleased to say that following only our first session there was an amazing response and Booty is already feeling loads better and the muscle is already improving.

Keep up the good work mum and Booty!

Amazing day lecturing for justo development

Today we had an amazing day lecturing for Justo development!

We met some lovely students and look forward  to welcoming them into the world of animal physiotherapy when they qualify.

We spent the day teaching canine and feline rehabilitation techniques. This included how to  approach the patient to instill confidence,  how to assess the patient and then how to build an effective rehabilitation plan.

It was a lovely day and we all had great fun. Although it was tough to  fit it all into one day!

Good luck students for your exams!

Only 1 month to go until  we are teaching vet nurses in Denmark, to become  animal physiotherapists!
