Welcome to Clyde

Clyde

Hello and welcome to Clyde. Such a pretty bean and so sweet.

He is a rescue and soon after mum got him, he looked lame. This got severe quickly. After much investigation it was clear he had a sever hip problem and needed the hip joint removing.

This procedure is not uncommen. He was making good progress and had done hydroytherapy. But the progressed started to decline so he has now come for physiotherapy.

We have set him up with a plan to encourage him to glently use the limb more and therefore gain more confidence in it. This will also help him gain muscle and flexability and in the end, get him back to normal limb use. Thats the plan!

Keep up the good work mum and Cylde.

Welcome to Jasper

Jasper

Jasper

Hello and welcome to Jasper. We have never seen a red maincoon before! Beautiful! And such a darling cat.

He has got a very loving mum. He managed to fracture his femur. It was seen quickly by the referral vets. It was pinned. But sadly this failed and he had to have revision surgery. This was to have the femoral head and neck removed.

His highly vigilant mum came for physiotherapy to ensure the best recovery, as she was encouraged to do so by her vet. We are so pleased that vets are now embrassing the benefits of physiotherapy for animals as much as they do in the NHS for people.

We started jasper on a muscle building and flexability programe. He took to it very well and as a result, his recovery has been outstanding. Keep following and we will post a video of him having some of his massage. Cats love physio too!

Keep up the good work mum and Jasper!

Well done Tala

Just 7 days after Tala had her femoral head and neck (top of her thigh bone) removed, we are pleased to report she is recovering fantastically!

See her previous post to see her mums kind comment!

Keep up the good work both of you! Tala  you'll be back to normal soon!

Tala is already using the leg well and staying mobile. She still has more strength to build yet though.
